On trying NOT to take a stand.

Sometimes, we're just not allowed to hide what we believe. Thanks for the story, archanglrobriel.

His journal is Friends-Only for comments, so, I'll comment here, instead. And use the avatar that I wanted to use in his journal, but felt it would be seen as too offensive (tried to use my photo-of-me avatar, instead).

I used to live in a very Christian, conservative area of Los Angeles. I put a Darwin fish on the bumper of my beat-up li'l early 80's Datsun 210 wagon. I would get varying degrees of cranky other-drivers when heading to/from work/supermarket. One lovely summer afternoon, my husband and I went to lunch at a local coffee shop, and had noticed that the car we were parked beside had a number of stickers that basically gave the impression that the driver was God's Own Right Hand. We didn't think anything about it - live and let live and all that.

When we returned to our car about 30-45 minutes later, the UberChristian car and our Darwin fish had gone away.

I'm not saying that UberChristian forcibly removed the fish, but somebody did, since the tape it was adhered with was extra-extra strong, and still sticky when the fish's lack was noticed.

I'm glad he's keeping his Jesus Is A Liberal bumper sticker. If I ever see him driving around, I'll give'im a grin and thumb's-up.

I heard from a person I haven't talked with in a rather long time, and found this comment.

I am curious now as to whether or not la grande fromage has managed to achieve perfect karmic realignment…

Wow ow ow. That is ... so very earnestly foolish.

I have wondered for years whether it is possible for an agency to independently become sociopathic, and I think I finally figured out that it is a…

Interestingly, the other day I learned of another good reason I left.

The Big Cheese - a woman with zero empathy, people skills, or other human traits - decided the Rotary Club, who has catered one…
