1. What is the oldest object in the room with you?
On the bookcase is a Lenci doll that Penny acquired some years ago at a doll show in Rickreall (a weirdly named little town near Dallas, Oregon, which is near Salem.) The doll was a war orphan - she had one arm missing, and she was very dirty. We had a friend who is a very good soft-doll artist, and she made a replacement arm, and since the face and body had been 'cleaned' by painting, she did a very careful re-painting job after removing easily removable dirt. She's now wearing a blue felt dress and slippers that Penny made from a pattern book of Lenci patterns. She's probably 65 or so years old.
2. What is the newest?
Bills, on the table next to me. :P
3. What is your favorite object in the room with you?
Hm. I see no cats, so, probably my computer. I'm sick that way. But we try not to keep stuff around that we don't like.
4. What is the most valuable object?
As far as 'money' value? Or intrinsic value? I'll balance them. There's several possibilities, but most likely, one of the Ball-Jointed Dolls over in the bookcase. Our leather recliner-couch was expensive when we got it, but it's old enough, and has enough wear-and-tear, that it's not likely to bring nearly as much. All our books are in the storage-room, or it would be one of those.
5. What is the ugliest object?
There are several candidates. I'd say, the cardboard boxes which still hold the majority of the stuff we've moved in... because we haven't really unpacked them yet.
