schnee!

Snow in March. In Portland Oregon.

What do they call it when the weather goes nuts like this? I know it's a possible result of global warming - the increased energy in the system allows more extreme weather, more vertical activity in the movement of moisture in the atmosphere.

Penny loved this kind of wild weather.

I personally believe it to be a lack of cat hair in the upper atmosphere.

Aren't you guys having the same thing, though? Late snow and such?

Allegedly, in places. It's cold but as yet no snow to be seen, at least in Igo/Redding.

I take that back. I was just out on my lunch hour and it was raining, snowing and hailing, often simultaneously.

Did you get thundersnow? Some of my east-coast friends got that earlier in the year. Lightning during snowstorms, very fun.

I did not witness any but I heard that it did happen in the area. I fear that might make me think a cataclysmic event was taking place, and I would dive under something (my desk, the dashboard) to take cover.

Still butt cold here today.
