So, Beaverton toyota had a 2001 Prius for 13k-ish. I bought a warrantee extension plan and a vehicle id plan (helps a tiny bit with the insurance) and I'm suddenly in a new car.

Here's the link to it.

Well RATS. I was hoping they'd leave the pictures up at least.

I'll have to find a decent picture.

OK... try this link instead.

Mine is the pale greeny color. At dinner tonight (paying back Brad and Linda for a loan they made us during the Bleak Times in 2004) I parked next to another identical 2001 Prius ... the guy came out of the restaurant at the same time as I did, laughed and said "Nice car" ... I agreed.

I was mistaken, though: Brad got the Honda Civic rather than the Prius, because there weren't any in stock and there was a long wait when they wanted to get theirs.

Nifty! Did you get rid of the blue VW, then?

Not quite yet. The lease is up on the 20th but I am hoping to return it this week. I had to get some minor things repaired ($219 feh!) but haven't yet had the car cleaned and I need to do that, and put some touch-up paint on it, before I can turn it in, so I might have to wait until Monday to do so. Though, that's rather late, so I'm going to try hard for this week.

Wow ow ow. That is ... so very earnestly foolish.

I have wondered for years whether it is possible for an agency to independently become sociopathic, and I think I finally figured out that it is a…

Interestingly, the other day I learned of another good reason I left.

The Big Cheese - a woman with zero empathy, people skills, or other human traits - decided the Rotary Club, who has catered one…
