No spoilers.

Time to read book: 2.5 hours.

Conformation to expectations: 80%
Contradiction to expectations: 4 points
Confusion over incoherently described scenes: 2.5
Rating on 1-10 scale: 8.5

Slashy fanfic ideas utterly destroyed: 97%

Why I rated it 8.5: It was good enough to keep me reading despite my desire to put it down and go home. Further, it was consistent with the previous books, brought together themes, arcs, and elements which were shown in previous books, and did so in order to move the book to a proper ending.

Further, I read it in 2.5 hours without a break; normally that large a book takes me 5.

I've only gotten through chapter 10 so far (was multitasking), but I will say that a certain scene in the house on Privet Drive will inspire far more slashy fics than could possibly ever be demolished....

Wow. I know I had a lot of interruptions and breaks, but it look me a LOT longer. I started late morning, early afternoon, went to bed at a reasonable time, woke up and read from 3 30 until about 6 when I finished it.

And I STILL want a bacon sandwich, even though it was mentioned in the first half of the book!

I just got the audio version. Yes, I'm too lazy to read. Still working on the 'quit smoking without withdrawl' book, too. It'll take me a bit more than 2.5 hours.

As chronovius remarked to me, yesterday morning, "Have you even tasted any of it?"

I read fast, what can I say?

Part of it was the difficulty (not) of the reading, part of it was that the characters were recently refreshed in my mind, and part was that there were n o significant interruptions.

I will certainly be re-reading it more slowly, perhaps three chapters a night.
