In another moment of animated WTF

Tonight, the "Batman: The Brave and the Bold" animated series is a musical.

The explanation could have been reasonable except that once they're out of the influence of the mind-controlling singing villain, they keep improvising a musical. Except Batman.

And, I want to know who the singers are because they're actually tolerable.

I expect jarodrussell was singing along with "Deathtrap".

Neil Patrick Harris is supposed to be mind-controlling singing villain.

I was thinking "Donnie Osmond in his youth" so that's entirely likely.

Jarodrussell has the MP3 of "Deathtrap," and he does singalong with it. :)

I just started watching it, you're right, WTF? :)

I do giggle a bit at Dr. Horrible though. :)

Stuff like this is why I adore Batman: The Brave and the Bold. This is not the 60's so-camp-it-hurts Batman, but neither is it the ZOMG-GRIM!!! Batman of the movies. (The ones that didn't suck, at least.)

I loved in one of the early episodes (with the shiny new Blue Beetle) Bruce makes some unflappable seen-it-all-before comment to the kid, and then internally adds "Which is another way of saying: 'Huh, that's weird.'"
